TJ Again Ranked #5 in NC by US News Report

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy (TJCA) in rural Rutherford County, NC was again ranked as one of the best high schools in the state and nation by US News and World Report.  TJCA​-CFA​
is again ranked #5 in North Carolina, and the #1 high school west of Greensboro.   TJCA​-CFA​
also moved up in the national ranking to #126 from #13​5​​ ​
last year, receiving national gold medal recognition​

Headmaster, Joe Maimone commented, “We are so pleased that US News and World Report has again recognized the outstanding work our students and teachers do here in rural North Carolina.  Student commitment to challenging themselves in Advanced Placement courses is a major reason for this ranking, ​ ​
helping ​our students earn four year college credits at colleges and universities across our state and nation.​”

In the 2018 U.S. News Best High Schools rankings, there are 17 North Carolina schools that earned gold medals, 33 with silver medals and 102 with bronze medals.
