Spirit Days

Grammar Campus: Grammar school students may wear spirit wear every Friday and tomorrow will also be a Jean Day.  Jean Days will be announced separately.
Athletics

Football:  Please join us this Friday night at 7:30 pm as our football team kicks off their season with a home game against the Hickory Hawks. There are some important changes that we want you to be aware of related to home games at TJ:

We are currently in the process of completing some construction upgrades above the home bleachers at the stadium.  The area along the fence behind the top row of bleachers will be roped off for the first game. Please avoid this area until the project is completed and the caution tape is removed.
We have installed two new ticket booths at the upper and lower entrances to the game field.  General admission tickets can be purchased for $6 dollars from either booth. The upper entrance is designated for disabled spectators and handicapped parking spaces are located next to the upper gate adjacent to the north end zone.
If you have purchased a TJ athletic pass, you may pick it up from the pass holder gate next to the upper gate.
In order to improve security, we have added some additional measures to ensure the safety of our students and spectators.
All spectators will enter the field through a security checkpoint manned by school personnel and the Rutherford County Sheriff’s department.  Please be advised that all bags and purses are subject to search upon entering the gate. Additionally, we will be using handheld metal detectors as an extra security measure to ensure the safety of all attendees.
We thank you in advance for your patience as we implement these new security procedures.  See you all at the game!
Transportation

Upper Campus: Parents of middle and high school bus riders, we ask you to please be mindful of the traffic at drop off and pick up and refrain from dropping your child off at the bus door.   Instead, we ask that you park in a spot and allow your child to walk to the bus. We have received a number of concerns and complaints concerning children that continue to be dropped off at the bus door.  This is creating a safety hazard and traffic jams in the mornings. Please remember to park and allow your children to walk cautiously to the buses.

Unfortunately, with our growing bus ridership, we are unable to accommodate students riding home with friends for the weekend that are not assigned to the bus rosters.  We apologize for the inconvenience but please understand that circumstances do not allow for the transportation of students not assigned to a specific bus.

Grammar Campus: Grammar school students who ride TJ buses must be walked to the bus by a parent in the mornings and picked up at the bus door by parents in the afternoons.
