Tricky Word List

Here is a list of all the Unit 1-7 “Tricky Words”. These words are underlined in gray in the reader. “Tricky Words” are words that do not follow a normal spelling pattern and cannot be decoded (sounded out). Please allow your child to read each word. If your child has any hesitation in reading these words, please practice the words each night. A good way to practice is to make flashcards of the words on index cards and review them each night. Being able to accurately and quickly read “Tricky Words” will improve your child’s reading fluency and comprehension.
