February 18-21

The end of the trimester is approaching! If you have been absent, make sure everything is caught up by February 25.

In the garden the crocuses are up, the peonies are almost a foot tall, and the daffodils will be blooming soon. We will be planting perennials in a month or so. Also weeding.

This week we will positively finish the Narrative of Frederick Douglass and continue learning about the beginnings of the Civil War. If anyone knows of any Civil War reenactors who would be willing to talk to the class, we’d love to have them. For vocabulary, we are going to be reviewing Greek and Latin root words.
